Pinterest CopyCats: Melted Snowmen Cookies

So last night was a Christmas themed night. Baked some ornaments, made some christmas cookies, put up the tree and stockings and watched The Muppets Christmas Carol.

Deidra was pinteresting and came across these little cuties. On a genius whim, we thought we could naturally make the cookies and have them turn out as perfect as this "miracle baker" that must do everything you see on Pinterest. (Think about it, you never see anything looking even remotely crappy as if an average person baked it. It just doesn't happen!) This is what the Pinterest baker's looked like.

Our's turned out a bit more special. The one to the right is Asian. Perhaps, even a ninja snowman.

All you need to create them is:

Marshmallows
Frosting pens,
Vanilla Frosting, and
Sugar cookie mix (or
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1
cup butter or margarine, softened
1
teaspoon vanilla
1/2
teaspoon almond extract
1
egg
2 1/2
cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
1
teaspoon baking soda
1
teaspoon cream of tartar
Granulated sugar or colored sugar)

Bake the cookies at 375 for about 10 minutes, and let the cookies cool for about 20 minutes.
Frost the cookies and decorate the marshmallow and stick on the icing while it's still wet.
Once the frosting hardens, draw on the buttons and arms.
Enjoy with some hot coco and a christmas movie :)
